Players and officials of Kwara United have been involved in a road accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The incident occurred this morning, no life was lost in the incident but three people were injured while the team bus was badly damaged.
The ‘Harmony boys’ were on their way to Ilorin from Lagos where they participated in the Nigeria National League Super Four competition which ended on Tuesday. Kwara United Communications officer, Waheed Bibire told Channels Television that the injured persons have been taken to the hospital.
Kwara United are scheduled to host Niger Tornadoes in Ilorin on Sunday in the opening day of the 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
